TigerOne Card Services has been honored for its Mobile ID implementation with the 2020 Innovative Technology Award from the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU), sponsored by HID Global. The award was announced virtually during NACCU’s awards ceremony on April 27.

“It’s an honor to be selected for the 2020 Innovative Technology Award,” said Steve Robbins, director of TigerOne Card Services. “It was an incredible journey and a lot of excellent work was done by the entire staff. It took a team effort to get the Mobile ID delivered to our cardholders.”

Clemson is one of the first universities to deliver Mobile IDs using its own application, my.Clemson.edu.The tight integration is one of the main reasons Clemson saw adoption rates nearly double what was anticipated with approximately 5,000 devices enabled within the first 24 hours.

Navigating campus and performing everyday functions has never been easier or more secure using an iPhone or Apple Watch. By adding the TigerOne Mobile ID to the Apple Wallet students, faculty and staff are able to access campus facilities, libraries and fitness centers, make TigerStripe and Paw Points transactions, purchase items from the bookstore, print documents and much more. Robbins said the next phase involves integrating IDs with Android mobile phones.

NACCU is an organization charged with providing its members access to a network of campus identification and transaction system resources to integrate and streamline campus operations and enhance the student experience.
