    Two members of Clemson University’s renowned Central Spirit student organization were chosen to represent the school at the 29th edition of The Home Depot College Football Awards, which will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, in Atlanta. Kelsey Vinson of and Cal Bedenbaugh, both of Laurens, will attend the annual event which originates live on ESPN at 7 p.m. from the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame.

    Clemson to award degrees at winter graduation ceremonies Dec. 19

    More than 1,300 students will receive Clemson University degrees in two graduation ceremonies on Thursday, Dec. 19. They are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum. In addition, Ph.D. candidates will participate in a doctoral hooding ceremony at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.

    New Clemson program to improve health, economic outcomes through food-focused curriculum, research and products

    Clemson’s College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences has established a new program, Land-Grant Local, that will enhance economic, social and health outcomes in South Carolina by more fully integrating the work of local farms into Clemson University. The program’s immediate goal is to factor foods from local farms into the Clemson environment, but college leadership are already shaping future curriculum and research centered on food systems that stress solutions for food insecurity and hunger across the state.
