The South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) has awarded Clemson University and the University of South Carolina $25,000 each to support the development of a high-quality health care workforce, with the potential for two additional years of funding at the same or higher level.

Sarah Dockery of Charlotte, a sophomore majoring in nursing at Clemson University, was awarded a study abroad grant worth $1,000 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi — the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Dockery is one of 50 students nationwide to receive the award.
