    Michael (’86) and Robyn Nieri are laying a foundation for student success at Clemson University. As the University’s fifth Cornerstone Partner for Athletics, they created the Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center. Now, the Nieri legacy at Clemson will expand even further as they become the University’s fifth Academic Cornerstone Partner with a gift of $5 million to the Department of Construction Science and Management in the College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities. It is the largest gift to both the department and the college.

    The Clemson University College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities has changed the name of its performing arts undergraduate degree to more accurately reflect the range of arts programs offered at the university. The Bachelor of Arts in production studies in performing arts degree now will be known as the Bachelor of Arts in performing arts.

    While it may seem challenging to tackle the breadth of issues caused by population growth, gentrification and commercialization, students at Clemson are seeking solutions through a new one-of-a-kind partnership. Throughout the semester, nine students have been traveling across the state to assess eight mayors’ communities, which includes Travelers Rest, Estill, Orangeburg, Rock Hill, Hartsville, Patrick, West Pelzer and Hardeeville.
