Each year, the Clemson Young Alumni Council names 10 alumni to its “Roaring 10,” recognizing outstanding young alumni for their influence in business, leadership, community, education and philanthropic endeavors. The honor is given to individuals who exemplify Clemson University’s core values of honesty, integrity and respect and who have graduated from Clemson within the last 10 years.

Hobbs graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a degree in industrial engineering. In 2016, she completed her master’s degree at Purdue University. Hobbs is a consultant with Goldratt Consulting, where she analyzes operations and implements solutions based on the Theory of Constraints.

To support parity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, Hobbs serves as a member of Drew Charter School’s STEAM Advisory Board and has presented at both Drew Charter School and the Carl G. Renfroe Middle School.

As a member of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, Hobbs works closely with its Women’s Transformation Center, a housing shelter that is a safe home for women during transitional times. She also volunteers with youth and master planning efforts.

In 2018, through dedicated efforts with the department chair for industrial engineering at Clemson, Hobbs inspired 10 other young alumni to participate in the establishment of the Clemson University Industrial Engineering Board of Young Alumni.

The 2019 Roaring10 class was honored by the Clemson Alumni Association and the Clemson Young Alumni Council at a ceremony on Oct. 11th at the Madren Conference Center on Clemson’s campus.

The Roaring10 award program was developed in 2012 by the Clemson Young Alumni Council. The primary mission of Clemson Young Alumni Council is to support the goals of the Clemson Alumni Association specifically on matters pertaining to young alumni. Clemson Young Alumni Council exists to connect young alumni with the university, assist young alumni in the transition from active student to alumnus and to facilitate fellowship, personal growth and professional development opportunities for young alumni and formally represent young alumni interests to the Clemson Alumni Council. The purpose of these efforts is to affect seminal influence on young alumni so they may continue to be connected and contributing alumni for a better Clemson throughout their lives.
