CLEMSON – Clemson University’s Master of Public Administration program is ranked eighth in the nation by GraduatePrograms.com. The MPA program began in 1992 and became an online program in 2010.

The program offers academic content aimed at preparing students for work in the public or nonprofit sectors. Coursework emphasizes applied knowledge in emergency management, homeland security, nonprofit management and local government.

Graduates of the Master of Public Administration program have advanced careers in local, state and federal governments, as well as positions in diverse nonprofit organizations.

“This ranking is a testament to how MPA students and alumni value their degree,” said Lori Dickes, program coordinator. “To me, this is a real compliment that students can say with confidence their degree means something for them now and in the future.”

Students are able to complete the program in three years, and there are no out-of-state tuition rates. Moving the program from on-site to online has enabled a diverse group of students from across the country to participate in the program.
