Clemson adjusts testing hours for next two weeks
Clemson, S.C. – In an effort to accommodate requests from the community, Clemson University officials announced today the adjustment of COVID-19 testing times to 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays beginning Wednesday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 17, with an additional window from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.
“After hearing from several community members who wanted testing options after the school day, along with the low temperatures during the morning hours, we’re going to adjust our hours for the next few weeks,” said Lisa Knox, the University’s testing coordinator.
The University, along with testing facilitator Rymedi and the on-campus saliva testing lab, will provide PCR saliva tests to anyone who registers prior to arrival. The online registration portal, along with additional information, is available HERE (tig.rs/community-testing). The initial capacity will be 150 tests per day, and members of the community who find their preferred testing window unavailable should check back periodically, as testing capacity is anticipated to increase.
Parking will be available in any orange space in the C-3 lot (Lot 5 for football parking, it is located between Perimeter Road and the west side of Memorial Stadium). Members of the community should follow signage for the “Purple Zone” and a detailed map is available HERE.
Clemson has been among the nation’s leaders in COVID-19 testing throughout the Fall semester, and with increased capacity as a result of commitments from South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and the General Assembly, the University is in a position to offer free testing to the community as in-person classes for the semester have been completed.
