Joshua Walters of Clemson University receives funding for graduate assistantship
Joshua Walters, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in bioengineering at Clemson University, recently learned his application to the South Carolina Space Grant Consortium has been selected for funding for a graduate assistantship in the amount of $12,000.
The program awards assistantships for graduate study leading to research-based masters or doctoral degrees in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. A requirement of the program is that the host institution match the consortium funding.
Walters is from Blacksburg and received his Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from the University of South Carolina.
