“We’re serving more veterans than ever on record and the resources funded by this endowment ensure we will maintain dedicated services for our growing population,” said Brennan Beck, director of Military & Veteran Engagement. “Having this endowment will ensure we always have funding available to support our student veterans and are equipped to provide consistent, meaningful and impactful support.”

The fund will be maintained by the Clemson University Foundation treasurer and used to maintain operations with the Military & Veteran Engagement Student Center located in Vickery Hall, expand programming support through guest speakers, advising, veteran-specific Orientation, Hail and Farewell graduation celebrations, and to provide support for student veterans attending conferences such as the Student Veterans of America, Men of Color Summit and Women’s Leadership Conference.

In the Spring 2020 semester, Clemson served nearly 350 verified student veterans. A record 53 earned either undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in May and another 25 are on track to graduate in August. Military & Veteran Engagement now falls under the umbrella of Community Achievement and Student Empowerment (CASE) within the Division of Student Affairs.

In addition to the Class of 1967, fundraising support was provided by the Clemson Corps, Alumni Association, Staff Senate and CASE. Click here to view all the ways to give and support Clemson student veterans.
