Through a new certificate program, the Clemson University School of Nursing will educate practicing nurses about the design of health care facilities, empowering them to improve the safety and function of the spaces where they provide care. The new Leadership & Innovation in Health + Design Certificate program was created by O’Hara, Valentine, Academy of Nursing Excellence members and faculty in Clemson’s Graduate Program in Architecture + Health program for practicing nurses as well as new architects interested in the health care design field. The certificate was approved by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education in late September and classes will begin in fall 2020.
Clemson University and WYFF 4 have established an academic partnership that will allow members of Clemson student media to work alongside industry professionals in a satellite news bureau located on Clemson’s campus. The partnership will make Clemson the only university in South Carolina to feature an on-campus news bureau occupied by an outside media organization.

Clemson University’s Hayek Center for Business Prosperity has received a four-year grant from the Charles Koch Foundation that could provide as much as $5 million to the center. The Hayek Center, founded in 2018, will use funds received from the grant to hire faculty, support research, enhance academic programming and provide financial support to students.
