Charles and Susan Barker of Virginia Beach, Virginia, were named 2017 recipients of the Herb Coughlan Memorial Family of the Year award by the Clemson University Parents Council. The award has been presented annually since 2001 to a family that has demonstrated dynamic leadership and service to Clemson.
The transition to college isn’t easy for many students. As a military kid, this Tiger went through more transitions than anyone. Today, she works to ensure that each and every student has a smooth transition by enhancing the Clemson Family programs.
