Kiah Morris wasn’t sold she would follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Clemson Tiger when it came time to select her college destination, but all it took was one visit to the campus to change her mind. She fell in love with the hospitable nature of the university and local community, and enrolled in the fall of 2016.

It didn’t take long for Morris to find ways to get involved. She was an Orientation Ambassador the summer following her freshman year and hasn’t looked back. Morris is now on the leadership team of CONNECTIONS, which is designed for first-year students of color and first-generation students. She also serves as a resident assistant for first-year students living in the east zone of Douthit Hills. In the spring of 2018, she received the Rising Star Award from the Division of Student Affairs.

In this week’s podcast, Morris discussed how she decided on attending Clemson, an itch to be involved in campus life, as well as the leadership honor she received from the division in April.
