PTDC 3 copyCLEMSON — Established in 1954, the Paul Taylor Dance Company is one of the world’s most highly respected and sought-after ensembles. The group will take the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at Clemson University.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. This is a “Student Rush the Box Office” event, which is free for Clemson University students who arrive one hour before the performance with their CUID and while seats remain.

Taylor first presented his choreography with five other dancers in 1954, and since then has been hailed as part of the pantheon that created American modern dance.

The Taylor Company has performed in more than 520 cities in 62 countries, representing the United States at arts festivals in more than 40 countries and touring extensively under the aegis of the State Department.

This performance will feature Taylor’s 1975 work, “Esplanade,” which features the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
