Mark Derrick of Gaithersburg named to Clemson Alumni Association board
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson Alumni Association has elected Mark Derrick of Gaithersburg to its board of directors. His term began July 1.
Derrick, a 1991 graduate of Clemson, is regional director, Government and Transportation Sector, at Xerox.
As a founding member of the DC/Baltimore regional campaign, Derrick helped raise $15.3 million for Clemson University. He also has hosted the Clemson Clubs of Baltimore and Washington, D.C., annual Crab Feast.
He has been a member of the Clemson Alumni Council since 2008 and was a member of the affinity and engagement committees.
“I am proud of the mission of the university and the CAA in support of the Clemson family and will continue to serve in any role that can provide benefit to Clemson,” Derrick said.
The board of directors is comprised of 23 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. The primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, creation of governing policies and strategic planning.
