David L. Morrow of Charleston joins Clemson University Foundation board
CLEMSON – David L. Morrow of Charleston joined the Clemson University Foundation board of directors for a four-year term beginning July 1.
Morrow is director, president and CEO of CresCom Bank in Charleston. He previously was the founding president, CEO and director at Crescent Bank, which merged into CresCom. He also was an executive vice president and director at Carolina First Bank.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Clemson in 1972.
He has served as chairman of the Young Bankers Division of the South Carolina Bankers Association and has been a member of the board, executive committee and chairman-elect of the South Carolina Bankers Association. He also is on the South Carolina Museum Foundation board, the Clemson University Board of Visitors, the Board of Advisors of the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, the Storm Eye Institutes at MUSC board, the Leadership South Carolina board and was the founding director and president of the Boys and Girls Club in Beaufort and Hilton Head.
The Clemson University Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entity organized solely to promote the welfare and future development of Clemson University. It was chartered in 1933 to support the university’s educational and scientific goals. It is the responsibility of the board of directors to manage and disburse assets prudently within a policy that encourages the enhancement of the resources of the foundation.
