Clemson’s Missy Ryan named a fundraising star by magazine
CLEMSON — Missy Ryan, senior director of development for the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University, has been named a Fundraising Star by “Fundraising Success” magazine.
Ryan was selected for her creativity and determination in fundraising and is featured in an article in the magazine.
“Missy has done a remarkable job building the reputation, visibility and financial support of the college during very tough economic times,” said college Dean Claude Lilly. “She has brought in more than $7.3 million in fundraising to the college, exceeding her annual goals and reaching an astounding number by any standards.”
Ryan came to Clemson in 2007 from Atlanta where she worked on the senior staff for FundraisingINFO.com. She is a certified fundraising executive and has a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College and a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from Georgia State University.
“We are thankful to have a professional of Missy’s caliber on our team,” said Brian O’Rourke, director of development and alumni relations at Clemson. “Missy’s energy is electric; her can-do attitude and enthusiasm for the university inspire all of us around her.”
