CLEMSON — Greatist health and fitness website has ranked Clemson amongst the top 26 healthiest colleges in the nation.

“It is a fitting acknowledgement of the wonderful environment we have here at Clemson University,” said Healthy Campus director Jennifer Goree.

Greatist lauded Clemson’s approach to healthy living. It cited Clemson’s safe rides Tiger Transit program and peer-led health classes as contributors to student wellness.

Greatist also noted the diversity of classes offered at Clemson’s Fike Recreation Center, which include group fitness classes and outdoor programs.

“I am particularly thrilled that they highlighted our outdoor programs and also our ‘Aspire to Be Well‘ program that focuses on safety for our students. These are just a few examples of the outstanding programs we offer to address all aspects of wellness and that lead to create a healthy campus,” said Goree.

The accolade was also based on campus food reviews, quality of student life and happiness of students.
