CLEMSON – Clemson University was named one of America’s Best Midsize Employers of 2017 by Forbes Magazine.

“Clemson University is committed to attracting top talent to the university and rewarding, retaining and developing its talented faculty and staff,” said Michelle Piekutowski, Clemson’s chief human resources officer.

“It is rewarding to be recognized by Forbes as one of America’s best employers, especially knowing that this particular recognition is based directly on the feedback attained from our faculty and staff,” she said. “The university remains committed to making Clemson a top 20-ranked university and a terrific place to work.”

The America’s Best Employers list ranks the top 500 employers across 25 different industries.

Clemson University was ranked No. 181 among all employers and 34th in education.

To compile the list, Forbes surveyed 30,000 employees anonymously to gather opinions respondents had of their employers. The most weighted survey question was the one that asked respondents whether they would recommend their work organization to others.

“The work our employees do, combined with their willingness to recruit excellent new faculty and staff to the university, make our employees the university’s best ambassadors,” said Piekutowski.
