Clemson researchers to unveil ‘Project Hero’ to protect against gun violence
CLEMSON — Clemson University researchers plan to gather at an Anderson school Tuesday to unveil a project that they said could help protect students against gun violence while inspiring them to study computer science and robotics.
“Project Hero” will be revealed at noon at South Fant School of Early Education, 1700 S. Fant St. in Anderson.
Media are invited to attend.
The research team includes Juan Gilbert, Presidential Endowed Professor and chairman of the Human-Centered Computing Division.
He said that Project Hero could be in schools within three years, depending on how aggressively industry adopts the idea.
