Clemson online programs achieve national ranking
CLEMSON — Clemson University is counted among the nation’s top universities for online graduate programs, according to new rankings by GraduatePrograms.com.
Clemson is ranked No. 25 in GraduateProgram.com’s Top 50 Online Graduate Programs based on ratings and reviews from graduate students. The rankings encompassed information posted by 60,000 current or recent students from 1,500 graduate programs. It was compiled between fall 2012 and spring 2014.
Rankings covered a variety of student topics, such as academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid and quality of network.
Clemson offers online graduate programs in biological sciences; construction science management; electrical engineering; human resource development; industrial engineering; healthcare genetics; parks, recreation and tourism management; public administration; and youth development.
These programs are part of an overall effort to develop, market and deliver top-quality courses and programs in blended and online formats, said Witt Salley, director of Clemson Online, which directs the university’s online education efforts.
“This ranking demonstrates Clemson’s leadership in online education as well as our emphasis on innovative teaching and superior learning outcomes,” Salley said. “It also reflects our vision to define the public’s web-grant university through measurable achievements in e-learning delivery, service and scholarship.”
