CLEMSON — Three finalists have been named for the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost position at Clemson University.
They are Gregory Crawford, dean of the College of Science at the University of Notre Dame; Robert Jones, dean of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University; and Sheryl Tucker, dean of the graduate college and interim vice president for research and technology transfer at Oklahoma State University.
There will be open campus forums with each of the candidates beginning the week of July 7. Jones’ will be Tuesday, July 8; Tucker’s Thursday, July 10; and Crawford’s Tuesday, July 15. Each will be held in the Lee Hall No. 2 auditorium, Room 2-111, from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Candidate information and application materials will be posted on the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Search Web page.
In April, Clemson University launched a national search for the provost position that was elevated by President James P. Clements to an executive vice presidency, the No. 2 position at the university. Using traditional, online and social media channels, the position attracted roughly 400 nominations and contacts.
