Maxime Cavillon of Clemson University receives Kreidl Award
Maxime Cavillon of Clemson University is receiving the 2018 Norbert J. Kreidl Award for Young Scholars, the same award his Ph.D. advisor won in 1997.
The award recognizes research excellence in glass science among graduate students and comes from the Glass and Optical Materials Division of the American Ceramic Society.
Cavillon’s Ph.D. advisor is John Ballato, the J.E. Sirrine Textile Foundation Endowed Chair of Optical Fibers. Cavillon expects to graduate in May with a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering.
