Six faculty members honored at College of Engineering and Science ceremony
Six members of the College of Engineering and Science faculty received awards at a ceremony in Greenville on May 2.
The awards are:
Collaboration Award – Jeff Anker, chemistry and John DesJardins, bioengineering. The award recognizes a team of two or more faculty who have demonstrated exemplary and synergistic collaboration in research and/or teaching.
McQueen Quattlebaum Award for Outstanding Achievement – Igor Luzinov, materials science and engineering. The award recognizes faculty accomplishments in the preceding year and distinctions and awards in the past three years.
Murray Stokely Award for Outstanding Teaching – Sez Atamturktur, Glenn Department of Civil Engineering. The award is given to a faculty member in engineering for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level with emphasis on the most recent three years.
Byars Prize for Excellence in Teaching – Jean-Marc Delhaye, mechanical engineering. The award recognizes outstanding instruction in engineering fundamentals.
Esin Gulari Leadership and Service Award – Cindy Lee, interim chair, engineering and science education. The award recognizes college faculty who take on leadership and service responsibilities that require selfless commitment of time and effort.
